The Quickest Way to Graduation: #15toFinish

The Quickest Way to Graduation: #15toFinish

Registration for Spring 2019 and winter intersession is officially underway! Students who go full-time or earn 30 credits per calendar year complete their degrees faster. How will you get your #15toFinish for this year? Contact your favorite advisor, Erin Radcliffe, for questions about adding another course for intersession or spring term and for course and degree planning!

REACH Tip

Successful students REACH: they are Resilient, Empowered, Accountable, Curious, and Hopeful.

According to Heather Wolpert-Gawron, accountable students ask questions and build relationships with their peers and instructors. As we approach the end of fall term, how will you practice accountability to finish the semester strong?

Spotlight on Intersession

Spotlight on Intersession

Intersession classes are classes offered between the regular terms. They require a serious commitment, but allow students to complete their programs more quickly, lighten their load during the full term, and devote their full attention to a class. CNM’s offering a number of intersession classes over winter break that meet degree and core requirements. Register for intersession at the same time you sign up for spring classes; check out the full schedule here!

New On-Campus Transfer Resource for Students

CNM and New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) have a number of transfer agreements that allow CNM students to move directly from their associate’s degree into 300- and 400-level classes at NMHU. Kristen Olds is an admissions counselor for NMHU who’s located on CNM’s Main Campus. To learn more about transfer to NMHU, please set up a time to meet with Kristen at kristen@nmhu.edu.

Submit Your Writing and Art to Leonardo

Submit Your Writing and Art to Leonardo

Did you CNM has its own student-run art and literary magazine? Leonardo publishes students’ visual art, poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction and is seeking submissions for its next issue. Submissions due by February 4th 2019; please email leonardo@cnm.edu. for additional information.

Sessions run for 1-2 hours and take place in classrooms or tutoring labs for students to visit, work on assignments, or just hang out. Drop in every week, or just once in a while. Q-Study Halls run until December 7th and are on the Main, Westside, and Montoya campuses. Check out the full schedule here!
