Our bodies and minds act as one unit; therefore it is important to care for both our emotional and mental states, as well as our physical health. May is observed as Mental Health Awareness Month in the U.S. Here are a few resources available to you to help you maintain your mental wellness. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

All employees of CNM (except student employees) and their family members living at home may use the EAP for FREE. Each individual has six confidential counseling sessions per issue per year. Telephone and Video Counseling is available.

Talkspace for Presbyterian members is a messaging therapy. Messaging therapy enables you to find and talk with a therapist at anytime through your computer or mobile app.
With Talkspace there are no appointments. You can send a therapist a message whenever you need to, and they will engage with you daily, five days a week. Go to talkspace.com

Talk Therapy

Talk Therapy for Blue Cross Blue Shield members. Speak with a licenses counselor, therapist, or psychiatrist for support with virtual visits, available by appointments.
You can choose who you want to work with for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and loss or relationship problems.

In honor of National Salad & National Strawberry Month in May, here is a recipe for Easy Strawberry Spinach Salad.

Easy Strawberry Spinach Salad Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients: Salad

  • 6 cups baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 small red onion, or desired amount sliced
  • 1 pint strawberries sliced
  • 1/4 cup pecans


  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil


1. Add salad ingredients into a large bowl and toss. 2. Add Dressing ingredients into a pint size mason jar, tighten lid and shake until mixed. 3. Drizzle dressing just before serving!

  • FACE: Does one side of the face droop?
  • ARM: Does one arm drift downward?
  • SPEECH: Does the speech sound slurred or strange?
  • TIME: If you observe any of these signs, call 911.
