World Health Day is a global awareness day created by the World Health Organization (WHO). Each year, there is a focus/theme on an area in health.

For 2020, the focus is on roles played by the nurses and midwives who provide care around the world.

You can initiate a call to action by 1) Showing nurses and midwives appreciation for their work and thank them and 2) Calling on leaders to do more to help make investments so nurses and midwives can work to their full potential. Source: www.who.int

April 22nd is Administrative Professional’s Day. According to the International Association of Administrative Professionals, there are more than 22 million Admin Professionals in the U.S.

Their roles are critical in the daily operations of any organization. Their work should not go unnoticed so Thank your Administrative Professional.

Stress Awareness Month

April is Stress Awareness Month. During this time, we can all agree that we are experiencing stress due the coronavirus pandemic. Along with that, we have experienced situations that are overwhelming such as deadlines and a long to-do list. You are not alone. Everyone feels stressed from time to time; however, too much stress can affect our emotional and physical health. It is important to find that balance in order to live a productive and healthier life.

Here are a few tips to help you clear your mind and de-stress:

  • Exercise – Exercising gets endorphins pumping through your body to trigger happy feelings.
  • Relax – Learn to incorporate techniques such as meditation, journaling, yoga and breathing exercises.
  • Laugh – Do something you enjoy that will make you laugh – it might just be the distraction you need.
