CNM’s School of Business and Information Technology offers an accelerated Degree in Computer Support Specialist (CSS). You can earn this Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in less than two years.

The program is designed with the busy professional in mind. Therefore, the classes are primarily offered in 7-week blocks with the exception of a few courses. By taking classes in the evening and online, you can complete your degree quicker.

Our "cohort model" of learning coupled with our team of faculty make it possible to complete your degree in less time than a traditional education system. Our faculty are highly qualified and have a background working in the industry.

The tuition cost for the Fast-Track Computer Support Specialist Degree is $8,699. 

*Note tuition is subject to change in accordance CNM tuition rate schedule .

Fill out a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and contact a CNM Financial Aid advisor.  We accept all forms of Federal and State financial aid, including Pell Grant and Student Loans. We also accept the following payment methods:

Admission and Applications Requirements

Applying to the Fast-Track CSS Program is a four-tiered application process:

  1. Apply to CNM
    Transcripts from any previous colleges that you may have attended should be submitted.
  2. Take the Accuplacer test for appropriate placement for college level courses.
    If you took the Accuplacer within the past five years, these scores can be considered for accurate placement. Accuplacer exams can be taken any CNM Assessment Center. The  Fast-Track CSS Program accepts below minimum Accuplacer Assessment scores or course equivalents. 
    • Reading & Writing Requirement: Reading Score = 257 or higher OR  WritePlacer Score = 6 or higher
    • Math Requirement: Advanced Algebra Score = 239 or higher
  3. Apply to the  Fast-Track CSS Program
    You must submit the online application along with a Participation Essay. This essay is used in part to determine eligibility for acceptance to the program. You should discuss your background, your current work experience and your goals – things that motivate you to be involved in this accelerated program.

  • Application Deadline:  Wednesday, December 11, 2019
  • Mandatory Orientation: Wednesday, January 8, 2020
  • First Day of Class:  Monday, January 13, 2020

Classes are held two nights a week from 5:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. and also include online work.
