Program Description

This program will prepare you to work in the construction industry as a drafting technician, estimator, or sales representative for residential and commercial contractors.

You can earn a Certificate of Completion in three terms, or continue for an additional two terms and earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.

The curriculum incorporates mathematics, technical writing, and blueprint reading.

You will also gain experience using state-of-the-art computer applications—such as 2D and 3D CAD software—throughout the program.

Communication, teamwork, and problem-solving techniques are taught to prepare you for success in the construction industry.

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

If you have prior CAD drafting experience, you may receive credit for courses in the Architectural Drafting program by taking a challenge exam. For more information, contact the School of Applied Technologies.
