SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training.

SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 students and instructors annually. The organization has 13,000 school chapters in 54 state and territorial associations. More than 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA. Learn more about SkillsUSA.

Competitions

Every year, CNM hosts in-house competitions during the fall and state level competitions in April. The 2019 Skills USA Conference will be held April 4-6, 2019. The Skills portion of the contests will be held at the CNM Main Campus on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 8am-1pm. The NM community is welcome to visit campus to walk through the competition space. SkillsUSA Welding Competition

HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.
