CNM will welcome nearly 2,000 high school students to Main Campus for the largest recruitment event of the year on Friday, Feb.1.

College Day is a campus-wide effort to engage high school students and inform them about the wide variety of programs and resources available to them at CNM. The high schools will begin arriving at 8:30 a.m. and will leave by 2 p.m.

During guided tours, the students will explore Main Campus, participate in up-close and hands-on activities with faculty members that showcase programs, learn about our diverse degree and certificate options, and get an insider’s view on how CNM can help them achieve their higher education and career goals.

For example, students will get to see how drones operate, interact with a green screen, creatively design structures, tour various labs and much more. There will be around 70 to 75 tours happening across Main Campus.

Some of the schools have also invited industry professionals to join in on College Day so that prospective students can see the tangible pathway from CNM to a high-quality job. Among them will be TLC Plumbing & Utility and Los Alamos National Labs.

In addition to the many interactive activities, there will be a Student Resource Fair set up near the Student Resource Center that will have information regarding admissions, financial aid and registration.

Note: As part of the event, the Student Services Center lot and the TC lot will be closed to parking. The BMX and Smith Brasher lots will be open for parking.
