New Associate Degree, Certificate Programs to Debut in Fall

March 16, 2016 -- CNM is offering several new associate degree and certificate programs starting in the 2016 Fall Term. CNM is offering several new associate degree and certificate programs starting in the 2016 Fall Term.

They include:

  • Community Health Worker Certificate of Achievement program within the School of Health, Wellness & Public Safety that would satisfy a state-wide effort from the New Mexico Department of Health to provide graduates with skills to become New Mexico Certified Community Health Workers.
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Certificate of Completion in Communication & Culture within the School of Adult & General Education that would meet a statewide and national initiative and Sun Path grant requirement for non-native speakers.
  • General Studies Certificate of Completion that would meet the New Mexico Higher Education Department General Education Core and be imbedded in the Liberal Arts Associate Degree offered by the School of Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences.
  • Personal Care Attendant/Home Health Aide Training Certificate of Achievement program within the School of Health, Wellness & Public Safety that would fulfill a demand in the community for entry-level care providers.
  • Rapid Prototyping & Innovative Design Certificate of Achievement program within the School of Applied Technologies that would provide students with foundational skills in producing prototypes for evaluation and low-volume manufacturing.
  • Construction for Film Certificate of Completion that would respond to the local demand for construction-trained individuals who also possess a background in film.
  • Beverage Management Certificate of Completion that is embedded in the new Culinary Arts Beverage Management Associate of Applied Science Degree concentration and in the new Brewing and Beverage Management Associate of Applied Science Degree programs.
  • Film Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree that will facilitate an improved transfer pathway for students to a four-year institution of higher education.
