Sep 18, 2017

Below is a brief summary of your rights:

  • Inspect and review education records;
  • Request the amendment of student education records;
  • Consent to disclosure, with certain exceptions specified in the Act, of personally identifiable information from education records;
  • File a complaint with the Department of Education concerning alleged failure by an institution to comply with the Act.

Release of student record information, such as grades, is not disclosed by CNM without the expressed written consent of the student.

You have the right to withhold the release of basic information about you (i.e. name, dates of attendance, major fields of study) that otherwise is available in CNM’s public directory information. To do so, you must complete and submit a “Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information” form.

Questions concerning FERPA should be referred to the Enrollment Services Office at (505) 224-3000.
