This holiday season, the Workforce Training Center will offer “e-gift cards” for purchase of non-credit courses at the WTC. For the first time, you can give the gift of learning to your friends and family.

“This is the first time we’ve had the feature available to us. It is easy to accomplish through our online registration portal at cnm.edu/wtc,” said Evelyn Dow-Simpson, associate director of the WTC.

“Any amount can be purchased and there is no expiration date, so remaining value can be used towards a second class (e.g. if the card is $100 but the cost of the course is $75, the remaining balance of $25 can be used at a later date),” said Dow-Simpson. The gift cards can be applied to any

WTC classes that are not for credit and do not include CNM for-credit courses or “ed2go” online courses.

Once you have purchased a gift card, the recipient can simply redeem it by pasting the redemption code in to the discount field at the bottom of the screen while registering and select the option to “Apply Discount.” The screen will refresh to indicate the amount that the order has decreased by applying the Gift Card.

“It is always a good time to give the gift of learning and it’s a gift that keeps on giving,” said Dow-Simpson.

If you’ve been looking for a gift for family or friends this holiday season, this is a great opportunity. The WTC offers a variety of courses, from inexpensive arts and crafts courses to more in-depth courses for career enrichment. If you have someone in mind that might enjoy a course at the WTC, you can peruse the catalog and see if there is a course right for them.
