Beginning with the current pay period that ends this week and is paid on Nov. 12, all full-time professional (salaried) employees must enter their own leave online in myCNM. Payroll coordinators will no longer enter leave for salaried employees.

If you haven't already, salaried employees and approvers/supervisors for salaried employees need to view quick training videos that are accessible in myCNM. Leave slips will continue to be used as the approval process prior to leave being taken. After the leave is taken, then the employee and the approver will use the online process to confirm and report that the leave has been taken. At the end of each pay period, the approver should go into the online system to make sure the leave slips match the leave reported by the employees, then approve it if it's correct. The approver/supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all their employees report the leave they have taken. If an approver is going to be on leave at the end of a pay period, they can designate – in the online system – an alternate approver (proxy).

To view the training video for salaried employees entering their own leave, log on to myCNM and then click on the "Employees" tab near the top of the page. Look for the "Time Entry Tutorials" section in the upper right-hand corner of the page and click on the link that says "Leave Entry for Salaried Employees," which will take you to the training video.
