“The open house was designed to let the community know about the program and welcome back current students,” said Andrés Armijo, Business Administration Fast Track program coordinator. “The program is designed for people who work full time, have limited time for school and want to further their education to advance their careers, acquire skills to get a promotion or obtain a degree in half the time of a standard program.”

The first cohort of students will be graduating with Associate of Applied Science Degrees this fall after 15 months of fast-paced study. The second cohort started in March, and the third cohort will begin in fall 2015. The deadline for applications for the third Business Administration Fast Track Program is July 20.

Classes are taught two nights a week and online by highly qualified instructors with backgrounds working in the business field. The fast-track format was designed by full-time faculty members who work as a team to integrate and teach the curriculum using the Competency-based education approach. Classes are offered over a seven-week period with a mixture of in-person and online components.

As part of the program, dinner is provided on each class meeting night. Different cohorts attend different days. Cohort 1 attends Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Cohort 2 attends Mondays and Wednesdays. Cohort 3 will attend Tuesdays and Thursdays in fall 2015. Students in Cohort 1 received tablets and students in the other cohorts receive laptops. Classes are held in state-of-the-art classrooms at the STEMulus Center.

Applications for the third cohort are now available at
