Clair has been a part-time faculty member in the School of Math, Science & Engineering for four years and teaches face-to-face, blended and hybrid sections of Math 1315. She’s an advocate for CNM math classes and brings a fresh perspective to the dual credit courses.

Clair, an original teacher at the College & Career High School on Main Campus, worked on facilitating dual credit alignment between Algebra II and Math 1315, which is now available to all dual credit students from Albuquerque Public Schools. She presented at Faculty Focus Day on bridging the gaps between high school math and CNM math by using TI-Nspire technology. Clair is also the distance learning instructor for a pilot section of Math 1315 for dual credit students.

She participates in college service efforts, including Accuplacer cut score benchmarking, textbook adoptions, department meetings, and new software training. She goes out of her way to reach out and work with the achievement coaches who serve MSE, Distance Learning, veterans, and dual credit to support student success – particularly for non-traditional adult students and dual credit students. Clair truly exemplifies CNM values.
