Carol is currently working on a “flipped classroom” approach to teaching by converting class material into CNM Glass videos that students can watch on their own time. This method leaves more class time for hands-on writing activities and provides a more valuable experiential learning atmosphere.

Many of Carol Anne’s students are immigrants and/or new to college. She’s always making sure that they are demonstrating the ability to prepare for essay exams and perform well when it’s time to take them. She also takes into consideration the life obligations of students and times their assignments for their benefit. Carole Anne participates in several department activities, such as textbook selection and curriculum planning meetings. Additionally, she’s making her CNM Glass videos, which include lesson plans for classroom activities, available on YouTube.
