Lis Turkheimer Named Executive Director of Academic Affairs
Lis Turkheimer began her career at CNM in 1984 when she was hired as a Library Aide at the Montoya Campus. Since that time she has held the positions of Learning Center Supervisor, Director for the Assistance Centers for Education, and Interim Associate Dean in the School of Adult & General Education. She holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico and is certified in Quality Management. She has used those skills to co-facilitate CNM Action Teams such as the First Year Experience Team and the Non-Retained Survey Team.

Michael Cranney Named Associate Dean of AT
Michael Cranney joined CNM in 1999 and has held a number of positions including Director of Instruction and full-time instructor. His connection to the college started much earlier when he took a math course at then-TVI as a high school student long before dual credit was an option. He subsequently earned a diploma in Laser Electro-Optic Technology and worked in that field for a number of years. He earned a bachelor's in Economics and Finance and a master's in Applied Economics.

Dr. Paula Smith-Hawkins Named Associate Dean of CHSS
Dr. Paula Smith-Hawkins has served as a faculty member at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz.,where she taught history and sociology. She worked as a Division Dean at a college in Minneapolis, as Academic Dean in the Marshall Islands, and as Operations Manager in the Registrar's Office at the University of New Mexico.

Lisa Gurule Named Interim Associate Dean of MSE
Lisa Gurule began her career at CNM in 1999 as a part-time instructor and became full-time in 2011. She taught Nutrition and was instrumental in the creation of the Dietary Manager certificate, as well as ensuring the transferability of credits in Nutrition. She has served as chair of Nutrition, Chemistry, Geography, Earth and Planetary Science, and Natural Science (CGENS).

Phil Carman Named Associate Dean of MSE
Phil began at CNM in 1998 as an Astronomy and Physics instructor and served as chair of Astronomy and Physics, chair of CGENS and interim Associate Dean of MSE. He holds a bachelor's in Physics and Astronomy from Stony Brook University and a master's in Space Sciences from the Florida Institute of Technology.
