CNM Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

CNM will host Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations at Montoya Campus on Oct. 29 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. in Richard Barr Hall, Room 105; and at Main Campus on Nov. 1 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Smith Brasher Hall lobby and auditorium (Room 101).

The Montoya Campus event will celebrate the significance of El Dia de Los Muertos, including a paper skull coloring contest, a display of El Dia de Los Muertos ofrenda and face painting.

Financial aid and scholarship resources will be available. There will also be a free financial literacy workshop in Spanish from 5:30-7 p.m. Dinner will be provided to workshop participants. Email for more info about the Montoya Campus event.

Main Campus

Main Campus activities on Nov. 1 will include mariachi and flamenco performances, El Dia de Los Muertos ofrenda, free food and refreshments, and CNM and community resources. The event is being hosted by the Executive Council of Students, Connect Services and the Hispanic Heritage Task Team. For more info, call Connect Services at 224-4355.
