Although this is the most unusual Fall Term in CNM’s history, we're committed to helping you adjust and providing the resources you need to support our students. The semester may look very different, but the cause remains the same – making sure our students are successful and on track for achieving their educational and career goals.

About 90 percent of CNM’s courses will continue to be held in online formats during the Fall Term, while about 10 percent of courses are scheduled to take place on CNM campuses. This guide will provide information for faculty members about the different class types available, resources for student & faculty success, as well as behavioral and physical guidelines for being on campus.

Important Reminders

  1. If you’re teaching an on-campus class, ensure that you and your students follow all of the safety protocols and signage during your time on campus. In order to keep everybody safe and classes moving forward, we all must stick together in our commitment to protecting each other from COVID-19. More information can be found in Section IV or on our Campus Safety Protocols web page.
  2. If you’re teaching a version of our online classes, we know that different class formats can be intimidating. The Distance Learning department is here to assist you with anything related to online classes, including training, advice, troubleshooting and more. You can reach the Distance Learning department at, or by visiting Distance Learning Faculty Resources.
  3. We encourage you to direct students to the CNM resources outlined in Section V of this guide to help everyone succeed during this challenging time. While a resource guide has been distributed to students as well, encouragement from faculty members is key to ensuring that students can access those resources at any time.
