Albuquerque Community Foundation Scholarships

Below are all the Scholarship Funds available for Community College students. 

Robby Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund

Providing assistance to a La Cueva High School graduating senior who has a language learning or other reading disability.

Notah Begay III Scholarship Fund

Providing assistance to Native American athletes attending college. Awards are made to New Mexico high school graduating seniors demonstrating strong academic achievement and participation in any varsity level team sport.

James Ledwith Memorial Scholarship Fund

Providing assistance to students for post-secondary education in pursuit of a “life dream” and/or professional goal.  Applicants need to demonstrate that they are capable of succeeding in that educational pursuit and that this scholarship will help them in this endeavor.

Carl F. Scott Scholarship Fund for Tucumcari Lodge   #27 A.F. & A.M. 

Providing assistance to New Mexico residents from Quay County to continue their post-secondary education. Applications are considered for graduating high school seniors beginning their college education. 

Youth in Foster Care Scholarship Fund

Providing assistance to young adults who have been in the New Mexico foster care system who want to develop a marketable skill or continue their education at a post-secondary school. 

Sussman-Miller Educational Assistance Fund

Providing assistance to graduating high school students or current college students to further their education in an undergraduate program who need financial assistance to address the ‘gap’ in financial aid packages.

Andrew Piech Memorial Scholarship

Providing assistance to students in the field of Automotive Technology and related Applied Technologies. Students must pursue a degree or certificate from a nonprofit, public, automotive or technical vocational institution including community colleges.

David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship

Providing assistance to students attending an accredited nonprofit or public educational institution in pursuit of a certificate or degree in a metals technology program with a concentration in machine tool technology and welding.

Trythall Family Scholarship Excellence in Continuing Education Fund

Providing assistance to individuals who are employed while attending a nonprofit or public educational institution part-time or full-time. Applicants must live in the Metropolitan area. Counties include: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, and Torrance. 

Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) scholarships program

Eligibility: The Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the Afghanistan or Iraq Conflicts, and their sons, daughters, or spouses who are current high school seniors, and full-time and part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution.

Applicants for the scholarship must submit the Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship application, by March 1, online at https://mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us
