Starting a Club

By joining a student group you can enhance opportunities for academic achievement which could to lead to a greater college experience and you’ll be able to network with your fellow students and other CNM community members.

Advancing leadership, design and service among architecture students. Be involved in our local community through committees such as Freedom by Design and Installations. Develop relationships among local firms for networking and mentorship opportunities. 

American Sign Language Club

To bring a sense of Deaf Culture, knowledge and understanding, to the CNM community through conversational practice and small events.



Stimulate foster and promote public interest in the art and education for our members. By organizing and funding workshops, exhibitions, art sales, study time, talks, museum tours, and a connection to the wider arts community. Supporting our members in the creative endeavors.

CNM AWS Student Chapter


Chapter shall promote the further education of its members as well as their active roll in community based programs and activities and provide a positive atmosphere for students heading out into the job market.

CNM Dream Team

The CNM Dream Team is a student led organization that focuses on immigrant rights and equal educational opportunities for all. We promote empowerment, leadership and development of immigrant students.   

CNM Electrical Association

Contact: Denise Ojeda 

Promote student engagement, leadership, and learning by creating co-curricular experiences, resulting in a vibrant campus culture that will enhance the student journey at CNM. Organize electrical career educational workshops for CNM electrical trades students. Develop a robust network of mentors and counselors to assist students and alumni with trade seeking opportunities. 

CNM Entrepreneurship Club


The mission of E-Club is to inform, support, and inspire college students, faculty and staff to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.



A student organization dedicated towards improving group members technology engineering collaboration and coding skills by working on group software, hardware projects and training for and participating in computer competition and events.

Horticulture Club

HOSA-Health Occupations Students of America

The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration and experiences. 

Improv Club


To create an inventive and creative environment in which students work together to enhance communication skills and improvisational acting skills.


QCNM is the working group for students, faculty, and staff interested in increasing visibility of and support for LGBTQ+ folks on campus. We maintain ongoing events such as Q-Study Hall on several campuses, and offer at least one campus event per month each semester (mixers, movie showings, etc.).  We also hold a separate monthly planning meeting, open to all LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and allies. The Queer Cats is a student group at Central New Mexico Community College that works to provide a safe social and educational space for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff.  More information.

New Mexico Professional Surveyors Student Chapter


To engage students as active members of the professional surveying community of New Mexico.

Radiology Club


Educating and communicating throughout New Mexico about radiologic technology.

Respiratory Therapy Club


The mission of the CNM Respiratory Therapy is to encourage and empower student currently enrolled in the CNM Respiratory Therapy Program to excel in their studies and personal growth as they work toward employment in the field of Respiratory Therapy. Through educational, professional and community oriented events, the Respiratory Therapy club will provide members with opportunities to achieve their educational and career goals.



Rotaract is a club for men and women who are dedicated to community and international service.

Sane Society


The Sane Society exists to educate, discuss and explore social, political, ethical and existential issues with philosophical discipline and critical thinking.

Speech and Debate


To provide students with the opportunity to compete against other colleges and universities in speech and debate events.



Gain encouragement and stay involved while networking developing leadership, cooperation and organization skills. A supportive climate where members can express ideas and receive feedback.

Student Nurses Association


To provide programs and opportunities for CNM nursing students to come together, support each other, and become involved in the healthcare community in a professional role as a student nurse.

USGBC Student Organization


The mission/ purpose of the CNM Student Chapter of the United States Green Building Council is to organize students interested in Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) projects, concepts, volunteer opportunities, areas of studies, and career opportunities while promoting sustainability.

WATT – Women Advancing in Technology & Trades


To empower women who pursue nontraditional careers through networking opportunities, access to resources and the chance to encourage more women to enter trades careers.
