Beginning Freshman Orientation

Due to COVID-19 precautions, in-person orientations have been canceled until CNM determines it is safe to resume face-to-face contact. New students must complete Part 1 Online Orientation and have the option of attending an optional Part 2 Zoom Orientation session.

Benefits of New Student Orientation

Studies show that students who complete New Student Orientation before starting their first semester of college have a higher success rate and understand what to expect as a new student.

We'll show you how to check your student account registration holds and how to verify your address, phone number, program of study, and residency status. We'll also show you how to make an appointment with an academic coach and register for classes.

Once you’ve completed Part 1 Online Orientation, your orientation hold will be released from your student account, and you will be able to register for classes.

Family members, friends, and loved ones are welcome to view an online orientation made specifically for them to learn about CNM and how to support their student. This online session should take about 20 minutes to complete. Begin this online ally orientation here

You also have the option of attending a Zoom session if you would like to meet orientation staff and ask questions. Sign up for a Zoom session below.
