Program Proposal Process

Program proposals should be submitted to the GEO.

Depending on the number of complete proposals submitted within a particular cycle, they will be reviewed by the APRC for prioritization; the TAC for risk assessment; and the GEO for feasibility of implementation. All programs (new and renewals) must be approved by the Associate Dean/Dean of the School prior to submittal to the GEO. Each year, all study abroad programs must be updated and renewed.

Program Proposal Process

  1. Attend Global Education Information Sessions on faculty-led study abroad goals and requirements.
  2. Read the Study Abroad and Travel Policies.
  3. Set up a meeting with the Global Education Office to discuss your intent. Providers and in-country hosts must be vetted and approved by the Global Education Office.
  4. Complete the Faculty-led Program Proposal and obtain necessary signatures and approval by your Dean.
  5. Submit completed and signed Study Abroad Proposal.
  6. Completed proposal will go to the APRC, TAC, and GEO for review and approval.
  7. All CNM faculty-led study abroad programs must obtain approval prior to advertising the program to students.
  8. If using an institution abroad as a host or for support, work with GEO to make sure that CNM has an agreement with the institution on file.
