CNM Connect Services offers the Advantage Connect Scholarship and the Connect Book Scholarship to eligible CNM students.

Connect Book Scholarship

Students receiving this scholarship must be enrolled in eligible courses at the time of disbursement.

The Advantage Connect Scholarship

The Advantage Connect Scholarship covers a portion of tuition and registration fees for current CNM students. Students will need to meet with an Academic Coach to apply. Award determinations will be sent to students via email. The Advantage Scholarship is renewable every semester. 

The Connect Book Scholarship

The Connect Book scholarship is awarded to help with the cost of required books and materials purchased at the CNM Bookstore. Students must meet with an Academic Coach to apply. Award determinations will be sent to students via email. The Book Scholarship is renewable every semester.

These awards are not cash awards. The Advantage award is a credit that applies to the students CNM account. The Book award is a credit applied at the bookstore for the student.

Please note: Students receiving the Book Scholarship must be enrolled in eligible courses at the time of disbursement. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Students must be registered for the same term in which they are applying for the scholarship and have set up a $50 payment plan in place.
  • Students able to complete a FAFSA, are required to do so. If for any reason a student is unable to complete a FAFSA or has questions, a meeting with an Academic Coach in Connect Services or a Financial Aid Advisor is recommended. Students must know their Financial Aid status prior to application.
  • Students receiving Financial Aid or any other scholarships that cover the Full Cost of tuition will not be eligible. If full cost is not covered, students may be considered. Suncat Scholars are ineligible.
  • Students participating in a consortium agreement with another institution and has that other school as the "Home School" will not be eligible.

If you meet the criteria above, please follow these steps:

  1. Schedule an appointment with an Academic Coach, School Academic Advisor, or School Achievement Coach. Bring class schedule and print out of book costs from the CNM bookstore to your appointment. Get directions on printing these documents.
  2. It is very important to set up a payment plan with the Cashier's office to hold your classes while you wait to see if you are awarded. Payment plans must be setup by 5:00 PM the business day after you register for your classes or you will be dropped from your classes. If you are not enrolled in any classes, the committee will not be able to award you. 

*Completing the Scholarship application does not guarantee you will be awarded

Directions on how to print your schedule:

  1. Login to myCNM
  2. Select "Registration" tab.
  3. Click on your "Schedule/Bill" on the left hand menu.
  4. Select the term (Ex. "Summer 19") in the Term drop down menu and click Submit.
  5. Print and bring to your meeting with an Advisor/Academic Coach.

Setting up a payment plan:

  • Set up a payment plan in your myCNM account if your class schedule costs more than $100. 
  • Payment plan costs $50 to set up (a $10 non-refundable set up fee plus $40 down-payment). The remaining amount will be divided into two equal payments.
  • Please click on Set up a Payment Plan for payment deadlines and information
  • Payment plans are available starting the day you register.

Directions on printing a book list:

  1. Click CNM Bookstore
  2. Under "Books" tab select "Textbooks and Course Materials"
  3. Under "Select Your Term" choose (Ex. Summer 2019") from the drop down box
  4. Make sure you are under the "Shop by Student ID" tab and enter your Student ID (Ex. 010XXXXXX)
  5. If you are unable to see the Required Materials, click the "+" on the right side of the screen and check the box for "New" book price. Make sure there is only one check mark.
  6. Click "Add to Cart"
  7. Click "Close"
  8. If this is the only book you need, go to "Your Shopping Cart" located at the top right of the screen.
  9. If you are adding another course, click "Select Another Course" and repeat steps 4-8
  10. Click the print icon located on the top right of the screen.
