Patient Simulation in HWPS

CNM has been leading the way in high fidelity patient simulation since Rio Rancho campus unveiled its first simulation suite in 2011. Then in 2012 CNM Main campus opened the second multimillion dollar high fidelity simulation suite with the largest instillation of Meti learning space to date.  This investment has benefited both the community and the students in helping students practice the art of patient care in the most safe and realistic means possible.

My goal for this project is to help faculty fully understand and utilize this investment by CNM and the community.  During this semester a faculty lead simulation team has been created to help with direction of the simulation facility and the implementation of its use.  Collaborating with all departments within HWPS to ensure that all programs have the support to utilize the simulation resources.  The simulation team has also been asked to identify and recommend further infrastructure and resources necessary to fully support simulation in the training of students for the health care field.
