Call for Proposals!

The Cooperative for Teaching and Learning invites CNM faculty and staff to submit session proposals for the 2nd Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning at CNM, scheduled for February 21, 2014.

The unifying focus of this year's conference is "Cultivating Reflective Practice."  Through reflection, educators become more aware of the relationship between their instructional decisions and student learning; this awareness then underpins self-directed professional development aimed at improving student learning. The conference will provide context in which participants can engage in self-reflection while exploring important topics and ideas related to teaching and learning.

The CTL is accepting proposal addressing teaching and learning in the following categories/topic areas:

  • student engagement and retention;
  • teaching strategies, methodologies, and innovations;
  • instructional technology;
  • collaborative learning;
  • classroom management issues and strategies;
  • student learning issues and students with special needs;
  • student diversity;
  • beyond the classroom (i.e. communicating with students, effective office hours, etc.).

To submit a proposal, download the proposal form and submit a completed form by email to by November 6, 2013.
