8th Annual CNM Conference on Teaching and Learning

CTL Facilitated Research at CNM: Adaptive Teaching Program or Two Classroom Studies: Processes, Results, and Next Steps

These projects involve the development of the intervention, IRB approval implementation, collection of data and evaluation. One intervention involved creation of a video presentation using CNM Glass technology. The other required creation of Discussion Board prompts meant to move students towards self-reflection on study habits and the grades they earn. 

Scientific Method was followed to design these studies, so that there was an experimental and control class for each study. Data such as grades on exams and course grades were collected and are being analyzed. Demographic data is also being used in the analysis of course level data to better understand how these interventions work across our diverse CNM student body.
