CNM President Tracy Hartzler

Tracy Hartzler became President of CNM on January 1, 2020, having been VP of Finance and Operations since 2015. Two months later, our world changed. We could not have selected a more prepared leader to take us through the greatest challenge we have faced as a college, and as a community. Tracy has dedicated her career to education, public policy, and legal counsel roles. She has worked closely with federal, state, local, and tribal government agencies in New Mexico and Washington, D.C. to help change policies that affect so many in our community. Today, President Hartzler is guided by CNM’s Core Values, focusing on the expansion of CNM’s positive impacts on students, families, and the central New Mexico economy. While the future seems uncertain, Tracy’s top priority is advancing CNM’s Strategic Plan, which includes many efforts to ensure community success, organizational excellence, and innovation that will take us to a prosperous and equitable future.

Michelle DuVal

Breathe in... breathe out... Michelle DuVal, a leader in the field of corporate mindfulness programs in the Southwest and Director of the Mindfulness Center, joins us to share that while the world may seem to be spiraling toward an uncertain future, we have the ability experience the mindfulness within us. Through Michelle’s teachings, we can find peace at any moment, even when the stakes are high, even at work. Michelle has shared mindfulness training with clients that include Clif Bar, Comcast, Wells Fargo, the City of Albuquerque, UNM, NM Heart Institute, Presbyterian, and more. Mindfulness is a beneficial practice that we are honored to experience through Michelle’s leadership.

Marcus “Goodie” Goodloe

As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus.” Leadership is a force of habit that Marcus “Goodie” Goodloe has dedicated his life to. For Goodie, leadership is the synergy of character and faith. A Compton, California native, Goodie travels around the country mentoring to students, educators, athletes, and entertainers. No matter the audience, at the core of his practice is peace and reconciliation. Join us in listening to Goodie speak on how character and faith can make formidable unwavering leaders.

Drew Dudley

Drew Dudley has refined the meaning of leadership by demystifying it. For Drew, leadership is not reserved for the cosmic alignments of extraordinary people. Leadership is the everyday art of learning to be oneself, revealing the leader within, and reveling in the discovery. Drew’s TED Talk back in 2012, viewed nearly 5 million times, launched a new direction in his higher education career. Drew speaks to us widely, encouraging us to join in a movement in which we are all leaders waiting to happen.
